play works by Zeno Baldi
“Gamma ut” for bass clarinet, electric guitar, percussions and live electronics
“Opal” for microtonal electric guitar and live electronics
“Solo set” for live electronics
The program presents three works – from mixed quartet to solo – that reflect the increasingly important role that the electroacoustic (and purely electronic) domain has played in my recent musical output.
Gamma Ut (2025) refers to gamut as the entire range of frequencies (both as pitch and rhythm), and its etymology: Gamma (Greek letter Γ, representing the lowest pitch) + Ut (the first syllable of Guido D’Arezzo’s solmization system).
Opal (2024) explores tuning and spatialization through the guitar’s quarter-tone fretboard and a hexaphonic pickup which allows the separation and processing of six channels, one for each string.
Solo set (2017–ongoing) is a semi-improvised solo performance based on simple structural ideas and an ever-changing instrumentation, including amplified objects, analog and digital hardware, feedback systems and tactile transducers on cymbals and membranes.

2 LARYSSA KIM
Solar Frequencies: Afro-Diasporic & Caribbean DJ Sets
Laryssa Kim is a multifaceted Italo-Congolese artist (composer, singer, producer and DJ) whose sonic universe moves fluidly between immersive electroacoustic performances and high-energy dancefloor rituals.
Born in Rome, she refined her craft within Amsterdam’s contemporary dance and physical theatre circles before making Brussels her creative home in 2013. There, she earned a Master’s degree in Acousmatic Composition at the Royal Conservatory of Mons and, in 2015, unveiled her eponymous live electronics project.
With her DJ sets, Laryssa Kim ignites the dancefloor with a fiery blend of Afro-diasporic and Caribbean rhythms. Her performances flow from Congolese Rumba and Soukous to contemporary Afrobeats (Afro Pop, Shatta, Gqom, Singeli, Acholi, Afro-Portuguese fusion) and Caribbean gems like Bouyon, Reggaeton, Soca and Kompa.
A fast-paced celebration of rhythm, movement and joy, her sets radiate twerking vibes, sweaty grooves and an irresistible flow. Known for her immersive live-electronic performances and acousmatic compositions, Laryssa’s DJ alter ego reveals the wild, sun-lit side of her sonic universe — a vibrant space where ancestral rhythms meet the ecstatic pulse of the contemporary dancefloor.
