1 TUUM

2 CHRISTOPHE ALBERTIJN & ERIK HEESTERMANS

Christophe Albertijn : guitar/electronics ; Erik Heestermans : drums/electronics

Christophe Albertijn: His trajectory runs from home recording experiments in his early teens with tape recorders and home-made devices through studies in documentary film and electro-acoustic music composition to having founded the audio-visual improvisation ensemble Bateau Lavoir in 1998 (where he used guitars in conjunction with hardware samplers). He has worked as a musician, arranger and composer in diverse fields such as electro-acoustic music, contemporary dance and performance, cinema and visual arts besides being busy as a recording and mastering engineer as well as teaching film sound, sound theory and recording. In 2020, he founded the music label HUIS to document musicians and architecture. Since 2025 Christophe has composed new music in which he further explores his long time interest with the guitar, sampling and live-electronics, as a soloist as well as with Erik Heestermans.

Heestermans is a Brussels based drummer who has earned a reputation as a skilled session and live musician as well as an improviser with Sheldon Siegel and as a soloist.
