1 STEPHANE CLOR
Stéphane Clor creates music with string instruments, objects and rudimentary electronic systems. He is inspired by minimalist, traditional, noise, acousmatic and repetitive music. He also develops installations and collective artistic actions.
Stéphane Clor’s solo unfolds in a fragile balance between the acoustics of the space and the timbre of his piccolo cello, sometimes augmented by an amplifier. The sounds he sprays from his prepared strings reveal a poetry of space that the musician sculpts alone, between vibratory incantations and saturated repetitions.

2 UGNE & MARIA
« ugne&maria is the duo project of Ugnė Vyliaudaitė and Marija Rasa Kudabaitė, both based in Brussels. Their music is made from a mosaic of samples and carefully triggered field recordings, in dialogue with Vyliaudaitė’s violin. Intricate and calming but far from ambient, in that where ambient music recedes ugne&maria’s music sounds always close to the skin. The compositions are subtle and precise, setting up logic and then gently manipulating it or letting it hover for several minutes. Elements move seamlessly from background to foreground and then return. Snatches of text or recognizable samples serve as textures rather than as location markers or figures to which one could reliably ascribe meaning.
In addition to their own music, ugne&maria host a monthly show on Brussels’ Kiosk Radio. https://kioskradio.com/artist/ugne-and-maria »
