1 FRAMES & LUIS CODERA

MUR#01 is a long project for three percussionists, modular synthesizer and sampler by the catalan composer Luis Codera. The piece consists of the presentation and development of various relatively static masses of sound. Each of the pieces of the MUR series is programmed in a concert in relation to a pre-existing piece. This aspect shows the need to conceive the concert, not as an arbitrary sum of pieces, but as a global construction that proposes an overall listening. The programming of MUR#01 is designed to be performed together with the piece Schraffur (for one percussionist) by the Swiss composer Fritz Hauser. Hauser’s piece is performed “inside” MUR#01. MUR#01 is not a rewriting of Hauser’s piece, nor does it use his materials or motives. It is conceived so that the ideal listening would be to program them together in a concert situation.

NACRE is the side guitar solo project of Marion Camy-Palou (Paris/FR). After years of experimentations under different projects (DEAAT PALACE, Oktober Lieber), Marion Camy-Palou is back here with the NACRE noise project with only her electric guitar. This record consists of raw, furious, long and immersive pieces, with the sole purpose of immersing the listener in an emotional and physical experience.
